colter wall
Portrait

“In another world, cowboys carve their names into legend not by breaking the wild, but by riding the nightmares born from the dark corners of ancient stories.”

A portrait assignment from a senior illustration class at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where we were tasked with choosing a musician and reimagining their image within a myth, legend, or cryptid context.

I chose Colter Wall and paired his rugged sound with the eerie presence of a Wendigo, drawn in my own illustrative style. The concept was inspired by the haunting, gritty atmosphere of Imaginary Appalachia, an album that feels almost like folklore itself.
